Burleson -- Frank Beck, 88, of Burleson, a retired logistics engineer for LTV and retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010, in Fort Worth. Memorial services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010, at First United Methodist Church of Burleson. Interment will be at a later date in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Burleson General Fund. Francis Junior “Frank” Beck was born January 13, 1922 in Buffalo, Okla. to Frank A. and Hazel Marie Crocker Beck. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II and Korea, retiring as a highly decorated Chief Warrant Officer. He married Lois Elaine Michael on July 23, 1968 in Rendon. Frank loved being outdoors, gardening, his dogs, football and camping. He was an avid Texas Rangers and OU fan. He was very active in the National United Methodist Campers Chapter 16, First United Methodist Church of Burleson, and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Burleson. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joyce Brewer; brothers, Garland, Jimmy, and Lee and sisters, Barbara May and Maxine Vaughan. Survivors include his wife, Lois Beck of Burleson; sons, Tim Riordan of Joshua, Bradley Riordan of Charleston, S.C.; daughters, Susan Warren and husband, Bruce, of Niwot, Colo., Debbie Srite and husband, Michael, of Norman, Okla.; brothers, Glen Beck and wife, Ila Mae, of Buffalo, Okla., Duane Beck and wife, Evelyn, of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Randi, Michael, Kate, Kendra R., Heather, William, Daniel, Tosha, Kendra E. and Morgan; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
