 Burleson – Susan Mercer Peterson was escorted into heaven by Jesus Christ on Friday, January 22, 2010, at 7:20 a.m. at her home.

 Memorial services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at her church, Cana Baptist Church, 2309 E. Renfro Street in Burleson.   The family requests in lieu of flowers that she be remembered with donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 500 LBJ Frwy., #250, Dallas, TX, 75244.

 Born and raised in Dallas, Suzi was born February 15, 1951 to Bill and Betty Mercer.  She graduated from Bryan Adams High School.

 Suzi courageously fought breast cancer for the past 14 years.  She was known for her kind, sweet Christian spirit, her compassion for others, her love of family and old dear friends, her love for her horse, Mac Cita, and her witty personality.  Suzi was very proud of her family heritage.  She will be greatly missed until we are with her in heaven.

 Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Douglas Peterson; daughter, Amanda Gary; sisters, Margot Northcutt and husband, Don, of Georgetown and Nancy Coco and husband, Lew, of Austin and several nephews and nieces.
