According to officials with Oncor, several areas in Burleson are without power because of tree branches causing issues.
"The bulk of outages is from ice that has formed on some of the branches causing brittle branches to fall down," said Michael Dimas, an Oncor spokesperson.
Other outages are from heavy branches touching power lines, which causes fuses to blow, he said.
Oncor officials ask that downed power lines be reported immediately by calling 911. Power lines should not be approached, touched or moved because contact can cause serious injury or death. Objects in contact with power lines, including tree limbs, should not be touched because they can conduct electricity.
Dimas said crews from East and South Texas are creating large restoration areas to repair outages as quickly as possible.
According to the Oncor website, the latest power restoration time is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
