Stephenville, Texas --  died, Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at the age of 83, in Stephenville, Texas.
 Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Harvest Hills Funeral Home in Hico, Texas.  Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Double N Cowboy Church in Dublin, Texas.  Interment will follow in Clairette Cemetery in Clairette, Texas. A family dinner will be hosted by the Clairette Baptist Church at 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, prior to the service.
  Billy Joe “BJ” Russell was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Blue, Okla., to parents, Deek and Hazel Russell.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Deek and Hazel Russell; sister, Katherine Autry; brothers, Gene Russell, Kenneth Russell and Max Russell; and grandson, Daniel Russell.
 Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joyce Hiberd Russell; daughters, Joyce Stewart and husband, Fred, and Barbara Hartgraves and husband, Keith; sons, Joe Russell and wife, Becky, and Tim Russell; grandchildren, Ronnie Dean Plumlee, Kimberly Graham and husband, Tracey, Zach Hartgraves, Jesse Russell and David Russell; and great-grandchildren, Hailey Hartgraves, Rylie Graham, Austin Russell and Addison Russell.
