On Oct. 6 at approximately 10:13 p.m., Burleson officers were dispatched to the Days Inn, located at 329 S. Burleson Blvd, according to a City of Burleson press release.

On a night when Centennial’s offense couldn’t get into a solid rhythm, the Spartans’ defense special teams made pivot plays.

After surviving a scare from Joshua last week, Burleson couldn’t manage a win over Everman at J.E. Marr Stadium Friday night.

The last time Burleson squared off with Cleburne, the Lady Elks were swept by the Lady Yellow Jackets in the first half of District 9-5A volleyball play.

Things didn’t go well for Centennial in the Lady Spartans District 9-5A showdown at Granbury Tuesday night.

The Centennial girls cross country team finished the regular season with another win and the boys finished third at Granbury’s Race of the Loot last Friday.


Evelyn Pauline Ballard, 88, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017.

Maurine Pippin, 94, of Burleson, passed away Friday, Sept., 22, 2017, in Burleson.

On Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, Linda Louise Snow, (Louise, Mimi) peacefully went to her Heavenly home.
