Down a stroke heading into the final day of play at the District 5-5A boys golf championships, Centennial’s Blue team fired a combined 301 to catch and pass Granbury’s Gold team for second place.
Centennial’s golf program hosted a pair of tournament recently in Grand Prairie and Willow Park.

Conditions were tough at times for the Burleson ISD golfers last week at the Class 5A Region II golf championships.
For the second consecutive year, Burleson’s Pierson Farnell is headed back to the Class 5A boys regional golf tournament.
Led by strong showings from Amanda McKesson and Mattee Wilkins, Centennials’ girls golf team won the Centennial Invitational at Hidden Creek Golf Course.
Playing over the weekend, Burleson’s boys golf team topped the field to win the Centennial Tournament that was played at Southern Oaks Golf and Tennis Club and Hidden Creek Golf Course.
One stroke separated Burleson and Centennial at Granbury’s Briggs Berry Memorial Tournament.
