Huguley welcomes first baby of 2019
It didn’t take long for Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South to welcome the first baby of 2019.
Less than two hours as a matter of fact.
At 1:57 a.m. on Jan. 1, Abigail Melissa Padilla Huff, the first baby born in 2019 came into the world. The proud parents are Naomi and Justin Huff.
Dr. Richard Ondrizek delivered the seven pound, one ounce baby girl.
Abigail will join her big sister Serenity at the family’s home in Cleburne.
“Each baby is a celebration of the gift of life and having the first baby of the year adds even more excitement to the joyous occasion. What a great way to start out the New Year,” said Jennifer Flores, MSN, director of women’s services.
Approximately 1,300 babies were delivered at Texas Health Huguley in 2018.
Besides taking home their bundle of joy, the family will also take home a special gift basket donated by the Huguley Volunteer Services for the first baby. It includes stuffed animals, clothing items, a photo album and frame, a blanket, toys, diapers and personal care items.
