Police looking into shooting
Burleson police responded to a report of gunfire in the 800 block of Ash Street around 11 p.m. Saturday.
According to an email from Police Chief Billy Cordell, as officers arrived on the scene several groups of people were observed running from the area.
“We spoke with several individuals that gave varied accounts of what happened,” Cordell wrote in the email. “We did not find any injured persons on the scene or that showed up at area hospitals. We did not arrest anyone involved that night.”
Several inaccurate accounts of what happened Saturday night appeared on various social media platforms, Cordell said.
Detectives are following up on the incident and are still seeking information for the investigation, Cordell wrote.
