Burleson’s Carnley installed as president of association
Burleson resident Zach Carnley, Funeral Home Manager of Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson was recently installed as the President of the North Texas Funeral Directors Association for 2019-20 at its spring meeting in Grapevine.
Carnley has held the offices of secretary/treasurer and president-elect in the association. Carnley is also the Vice-President of The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Board Member of the Texas Funeral Director Association, member of the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association as well as the National Funeral Director Association.
Carnley also chairs numerous committees in Texas and is the founder and chair of Emerging Leaders, a group catered towards younger and newer professionals entering funeral service. He has been honored as the North Texas Funeral Director Associations Young Funeral Professional of the Year and the Texas Funeral Director Associations Young Funeral Professional of the Year.
Carnley is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he graduated Valedictorian of his class. Locally he is a member of the Burleson Rotary Club, Burleson Lions Club and is an ambassador with the Burleson Chamber of Commerce.
Carnley and his wife Courtney have two sons, Myles and Owen.
