Burleson man arrested for possession of child pornography
A Burleson man, who was a Grand Prairie firefighter, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
Adam David Trahan, 38, was taken into custody at about 12:15 p.m. May 15 at his residence on Prairie Timber Road, according to a press release from the office of Johnson County Sheriff Adam King.
The arrest was made after detectives from the Johson County Sheriffs Office along with FBI agents with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Burleson Police Department executed a search warrant of Trahan’s residence.
The arrest followed several days of investigation concerning the downloading and dissemination of child pornography that was traced to an IP Address linked to Trahan’s home, according to the JSCO press release.
A search warrant on Trahan’s home was served and two home computers were confiscated. A thorough search of Trahan’s computers will be conducted at a later date by a computer forensics technician, the JCSO press release reads.
According to the JCSO release, Trahan admitted to downloading and viewing images of child pornography upon being questioned by investigators and was taken into custody on a Johnson County arrest warrant for Possession of Child Pornography.
Trahan is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail with bond to be determined by a magistrate, the JCSO press release indicated.
The investigation is still ongoing.
