Burleson Police Department seizes counterfeit merchandise valuing $268,000 Tuesday morning

After being notified by agents from the Department of Homeland Security and Investigation Services Company about a counterfeit merchandise distributor and seller in Burleson, the Burleson Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant Tuesday morning on a residence according to a press release from Burleson Communications Director DeAnna Phillips.

The warrant, which was served in the 700 block of Stonebrooke Drive, resulted in the seizure of 300 items of counterfeit merchandise with a total manufacturer's suggested retail price of $268,000.

Investigation Services Company, according to its website, is a Fort Worth-based company that deals with intellectual property rights investigations for many of the world's best known trademark's in high-end fashion, as well as the movie and music industries.
