Detectives and officers responded to the location, a gas well site on S John Jones Dr. behind the Vinewood neighborhood, where the vehicle was being tracked. The suspect is a 51-year-old male of House, New Mexico.

The suspect had warrants for his arrest from New Mexico for kidnapping, aggravated fleeing law enforcement; and evading arrest/obstruction police. Officers saw the suspect at the gas well site in a rented 2018 SUV.

The suspect had a 45-year-old female passenger that officers could see had been physically assaulted. When officers approached the suspect, he fled in the vehicle with the female passenger.

The pursuit went from John Jones up Wilshire to the 400 block NE Wilshire where suspect made u-turn, and the vehicle was possibly disabled by Onstar when it coasted to a stop in a parking lot in the 300 block of NE Wilshire.

The female escaped from the vehicle and the male was taken into custody and is being held at the Johnson County jail.
