Tackett wins Miss Junior Pre-Teen Texas (North) competition

Burleson’s Addie Tackett will represent Texas (North) in the National American Miss competition during Thanksgiving week.

Tackett, the daughter of Brandi and Kevin Tackett, will be competing for the title of Miss Junior Pre-Teen at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Tackett, 9, attends Bransom Elementary.

Tackett bested more than 100 competitors for the title. This is her second year participating in pageants.

The competition also offers the opportunity for her to win a share of cash and prizes valuing more than $500,000.

When she isn’t competing in pageants, Tackett likes to dance, swim, play volleyball and basketball and spend time with her family and friends.

National American Miss is dedicated to developing the success of young women across the nation with a program that is designed to be age-appropriate and family-oriented.

Pageants are held in each state for girls ages four to 18 in five different age divisions.
