YoloTX comes to Burleson

Cast and crew of a television show were in town this week to capture the essence of Burleson.

“YoloTX”, a traveling show about entertainment, food and things to do across the state of Texas, filmed in Old Town Burleson on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon for an upcoming episode.

The show is currently in its second season. The first season, which first aired in October 2017, had over 50 episodes.

More recently, the show traveled to places like the Big Bend National Park, Dallas Arboretum and San Antonio Zoo Lights.

The show made a stop in Burleson in search of what the city had to offer.

“Burleson is small-town true Texas,” said YoloTX co-host Ariel Monte. “We drove through it, and I mean, it feels like home, it feels like Texas.”

Monte is a Texas native and a former Miss San Antonio Texas. She co-hosts the weekly show with other fellow Texans.

“That’s a great thing, instantly,” Monte said about small-town settings. “To know that you’re in your home state and everybody’s friendly, everybody waves to you, everybody loves you.”

The TV show crew visited Moontower Pizza Bar on Tuesday. Monte interviewed a representative at the restaurant and went to its kitchen to make an actual pizza.

On Wednesday, the crew headed over to Old Texas Brewing Co.

The show on Burleson is scheduled to air a few months from now during summer.
