Edward Walter Jann Jr., 70, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Retta Baptist Church of Burleson. Interment will follow at Burleson Memorial Park. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home in Joshua.

Ed was born Jan. 25, 1946, in Athens, to Edward Walter Sr. and Mildred (Barton) Jann. He was a very good man, who loved his Lord, his family, and his church family. Ed proudly served in the US Navy, and was a Vietnam veteran. He retired from Miller Brewing Company after many years of service. Ed took great joy serving as a deacon at Retta Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Warren Jann.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Jann; son, Bryan Jann and wife, Marsha; daughter, Kristy Shipp and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Jann, Ashlyn, Logan, and Brynna Shipp, and Trey and Logan Rodriguez; sister, Thalis Jann; and numerous other loving extended family members and friends.
