Montine B. Watters, 93, passed away at home, Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at 8:45 a.m.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Mountain Valley Funeral Home, in Joshua. Grace Redeagle officiated. Interment followed at Burleson Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Mitchell Parnell, Joe Forsythe, Jesse Kirk Brown, Joey Adamek, Cara Cline and Derek Nelms who are grandsons and friends. Grandson, Johnnie Parnell, is an honorary pallbearer.
Memorials may be made toward  cancer or diabetes research.
Montine was born Dec. 31, 1923 in Westover, Texas, to Herbert Bynum and Nannie Cockrell Bynum. As a rural letter carrier, she met the love of her life, Jesse Ray Watters. They were married in June of 1966.
 She loved sewing, and enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts. Montine enjoyed going hunting with Ray, and they also enjoyed many fun vacations. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Burleson. Montine was a life time member of Riveroaks Rebecca Lodge #467, and also an Eastern Star Lodge member.
Montine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Ray Watters; two brothers, Lee and Jack Bynum; twin sister, Maurine Moore Robinson; two nephews, Barry and George Bynum and sisters-in-law, Mary Bynum and Lois Bynum.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Young and wife, Rose Vance, of Tucson, Arizona, and Don Watters and wife, Patricia, of Grandview; three daughters, Olivia Brown and husband, Pat, of Burleson, Nancy Crowe, of Burleson, and Carol Johnson and husband Tommy, of Waxahache; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
