Morris E. Bishop, Jr. went to be with his heavenly father peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the age of 78.

The Celebration of Life service is 3–4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Crowley, 400 South Eagle Drive, Crowley 76036. The visitation with the family is from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.

Morris was born in Rio Hondo, Texas to the late Morris E. and Frances “Violet” Bishop. He graduated from Paschal High School and served our country in the U.S. Army, retiring from the United States Postal Service after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Bishop, of Crowley; daughters, Christina Thompson, of Fort Worth, and Cheri Myers and Evan Bills, of Snoqualmie, Wash.; granddaughter, Alissa Stroud, of Crowley; brothers, Neil Bishop and wife, Barbara, of Houston, and Dan Bishop and wife, Judy, of Brenham; sister, Brenda Dean, of Orlando, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a plethora of friends.
