Thomas A. Kaker, of Burleson, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018.

A memorial service is being held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at First Christian Church, 601 S.W. Johnson Avenue, Burleson, Texas.

Tom was born March 16, 1937, in Memphis, Texas, to Garner William and Thora Madge Kaker. From Memphis, his family moved to Hale Center, Texas, when Tom was seven years old. There he helped farm the family land, went to school and graduated from Hale Center High School in 1955.

In 1965, Tom moved to Fort Worth, where he studied and became a master electrician. Tom served in his profession for 45 years before retiring. He loved spending time with his children and grand-children. Tom is lovingly remembered by everyone as someone who was strong, loyal and loved ranching.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Garner in 1949 and Madge in 1996; and sister, Donella Rae Kaker, in 1935.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kaker; daughters, Kayla Wallace and husband, Tom, Cindy Nickell and husband, Stan, and Rhonda Kaker; son, Tommy Kaker and wife, Angela; grandchildren, Leah Goldstein, Nathan Goldstein and wife, Sandy, Ashlyn Nethery and husband, Eric, Morgan Goldstein and wife, Amanda, Lauren Yoder and husband, Tim, Emily Nickell, Brooke Nickell, Phylicia Kaker, Chance Kaker and girlfriend, Sara, Wesley Kaker, and Jessica Kaker; great-grandchildren, Addie Labay, Jack Labay, Jake Nethery, Maddie Goldstein, Cash Goldstein, and one on the way expected by Chance and Sara; and sisters, Nita Cannon and Gerry Borchardt.
