BURLESON’S McCALLUM EARNS FIRST-TEAM ALL-STATE HONORS
Burleson sophomore Colton McCallum recently garnered first-team honors at designated hitter on the Collin Street Bakery/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A baseball team. McCallum hit .434 for the Elks with a .675 slugging percentage and a .535 on-base percentage. The District 9-5A Offensive Player of Year finished with 21 runs scored and 13 RBI to go along with eight doubles, three triples and two home runs. He also stole nine bases. Centennial’s Jacob Meador was an honorable mention selection at designated hitter.
