Spartans open fall golf season
Centennial’s boys golf team opens its fall season over the weekend playing at the Bart Granger Memorial.
The event, which is hosted by Fort Worth Paschal, was played at Pecan Valley golf course. The teams played two rounds on Friday. Saturday’s round was rained out.
The Spartans finished 30th overall after shooting a two-round score of 618.
San Antonio Johnson took first place with a score of 567. Brophy Prep from Phoenix, Ariz., fnished second with a two-day score of 568. Granbury’s purple team was third after finishing with a total of 581.
Centennial’s top player was Corbin Franco, who fired a two-round total of 149 to place 60th.
Lester McCarty finshed with a 155 to place 122nd. Moriah Kunz was 140th after carding a 157.
Collin Ramsey shot a 160 to place 156th and Tyler Everts finished 178th with a 162.
